Franklin County Schools issued the following announcement on Jul. 16.
The United Way of Franklin County has partnered with many agencies in the community to reach children and offer a summer opportunity prior to school starting. They have worked hard to provide a few days of enrichment and fun.
They will have STEAM lab equipment available for children to experience science, technology, engineering, arts, and math first hand.
The county library will deploy a Full STEAM ahead voyager bus to check out books.
Safe Space will offer enrichment opportunities through art therapy and the spoken word to talk about bullying, healthy relationships, and a special self-care station for adults.
Agriculture Extension, First Fruits Farms, and Franklin County will promote healthy living, nutrition, and gardening.
Smart Start will offer resilience activities.
If you would like to sponsor the camps, please get in touch with uwfcdirector@embarqmail.com. Attached are the flyers and links to register and volunteer.
