Town of Yanceyville issued the following announcement on Feb. 22.
Due to a major water main break in the vicinity of Fifth Avenue and and Parkway Drive. Water Service will be temporarily interrupted. Town Residents may experience low water pressure and/or discolored water. The Public Works Department is currently at the site working on the repair. Running your cold water for several minutes as well as flushing your toilets once or twice may clear up any discoloration in some cases. If experiencing discolored water, avoid doing laundry until the color returns to normal.
