FRANKLIN COUNTY SCHOOLS: SSO Free Summer Meal Program No Longer Available

Franklin County Schools issued the following announcement on July 26.

As we approach the new school year, there has been a change to the meal program for the 2022-2023 School Year.

We will no longer be on the SSO Free Summer Meal Program that we have been on for the past two years. The USDA has not extended this waiver.

Students will now need to pay for meals if they do not fill out a Free/Reduced Lunch Application for this school year.

The paper applications have been delivered to your school offices for parents/ guardians to pick up, or you go to the lunch application site lunchapplication.com to fill out your application.

If you qualify and want your student(s) to continue to eat for free, They must be completed before the school year starts.

If not satisfied, students will automatically be enrolled as "pay full price" status.

The "pay full price" is $1.25 for breakfast and $2.80 for lunch.
