FRANKLIN COUNTY SCHOOLS: Free VGCC Bioprocess Technology Certificate Program

Franklin County Schools issued the following announcement on July 27.

Who: All Franklin County Schools Juniors & Seniors with a minimum 2.8 GPA are eligible.

What: The VGCC Bioprocess Technology Programs will prepare students to work in various laboratory roles and as manufacturing process technicians in biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Students will complete a certificate program and may work for local biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. All courses for the certificate program will also count towards future completion of the Associates of Applied Science in Bioprocess Technology, should students wish to continue their studies beyond the certificate. This program is offered as a Career and College Promise (CCP) Pathway for eligible high school students. 

When: 2022-2023 School Year – deadline to apply is August 2nd, 2022.

Where: Vance Granville Community College

Why: Earn four college credits while in high school, increase GPA, earn CCP stole for graduation, and much more.

Bioprocessing Engineer

Chemical Process Operator

Laboratory Assistant

Formulation Technician
