Town of Louisburg issued the following announcement on Sept. 29.
A large section of the town is without power. The Louisburg police department is helping with traffic control at major intersections.
Power crews have just cleared a tree on Highway 39 South and that section is now fully reopened.
Power is still out in many areas, but crews are continuing to work to restore power as quickly as possible.
But there is no estimated restoration time at this time due to the heavy rains and wind. If you have an emergency, please dial *911.
