Town of Youngsville issued the following announcement on Sept. 26.
As we prepare to kick off the month of October, we would like to remind everyone that Youngsville Police Department is going PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Please join our agency as we participate in the #pinkpatchproject. The Pink Patch Project is a public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research organizations in fighting this disease.
Patches and lapel pins are available for order through the Youngsville Police Department at townofyoungsville.org, PayPal (https://paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=42ANUV6E424B4...) or pick up at the police station Monday-Friday 8:30 am until 4:00 pm. Proceeds from the Youngsville Police Department’s Pink Patch Project will be donated to the Pretty in Pink Foundation to provide uninsured and under-insured breast cancer patients in North Carolina with financial assistance for quality, life-saving medical treatment.
If you would like to make a donation to the Pretty in Pink Foundation, please follow this link to our fundraising page: https://prettyinpinkfoundation.networkforgood.com/.../165...
Our department has set a fundraising goal of $2,500 which will provide life-saving medical treatment to at least one person. Our campaign will run until the end of November with a strong focus this month.
Please help us reach our goal and provide a breast cancer patient with the essential medical treatment.
