TOWN OF LOUISBURG: Duke Energy Schedules Temporary Power Outage for Louisburg Electric Customers

Town of Louisburg issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.

: Duke Energy is committed to providing safe, reliable and increasingly clean energy. To help keep this commitment, Duke Energy has planned a temporary power outage for our Town of Louisburg electric customers. The outage will allow us to help improve the reliability of your service.

Duke Energy has scheduled the temporary power outage to begin at approximately 11:59 p.m. Friday night, Oct. 28, to 4 a.m. Saturday morning, Oct. 29. Service will be interrupted for up to four hours for the Town of Louisburg electric customers. We expect power restoration by 4 a.m. Saturday morning.

Work will be rescheduled if it cannot be performed on the scheduled dates for the same time the following week, Friday night, Nov. 4, to Saturday morning, Nov. 5.

At this time, we do not anticipate the planned outage to impact Duke Energy Progress customers. If that changes, you will receive a notification via text or phone, depending on your communication preference, 48 hours before the planned temporary outage.

We apologize for the inconvenience and are committed to keeping you informed and answering any questions you may have. Thank you for your patience as we work to serve your energy needs.

If you have questions about this project, please contact the Town of Louisburg Customer Service Department at 919-496-3406.
