County of Granville issued the following announcement on Dec. 20.

Currently there are 189 power outages in Granville County. High winds have caused these outages and the continued high winds have limited the ability of technicians to complete elevated work in bucket trucks. Technicians can only work when sustained or gusts of wind are less than 30 MPH.

The estimated time of restoration for most customers is no later than 11:45 p.m., Saturday and many customers will be restored sooner. Estimated times of restoration are the latest time Duke expects to have service back on in an area.
